As the General Assembly continues its review of the major data breach by a firm hired by the state for COVID-19 contract tracing, the Senate Communications & Technology Committee today (May 24) approved a bill requiring timely public notification when a security breach compromises personal information, according to Senator Dan Laughlin, prime sponsor of the bill.

The Senate approved a measure today (April 21) that would require drivers to remove ice and snow from their vehicles, according to Senator Dan Laughlin (R-49), a co-sponsor of the bill. Senate Bill 114 now goes to the House of Representatives for consideration.

Speaking at a press conference in Erie today (October 14), Senator Dan Laughlin (R-Erie) and Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman (R-Centre) discussed the need for the proposed Family Care Act and its potential benefits for working Pennsylvanians who have a disability and/or have a family member with a disability.
