  At the #PASenate #PAbudget hearing with @PennDOTnews Acting Secretary Yassmin Gramian, I expressed my opposition to implementing toll roads to pay for road maintenance & my concern about the environmental impact of road salt runoff.

  During a #PASenate #PABudget hearing with the PA Liquor Control Board, I raised concerns about the condition, selection and availability of state-owned liquor stores in the Erie region.

  During a #PASenate #PABudget hearing, I asked @PALaborIndustry about the impact of minimum wage increases on senior citizens due to inflation.

I emphasized the critical role community colleges play in workforce development, and asked about the potential impact legalized marijuana could have on graduation rates at today’s #PASenate #PABudget hearing on the @StateSystem.  

With volunteer fire companies across Pennsylvania wrestling with staffing issues, Senator Dan Laughlin believes firefighter training for inmates can fill that community need and give individuals valuable skills that can help them reintegrate into society.

At the Senate Appropriations Committee budget hearing with the Corrections Department, I passed along questions from an Erie County professional working to reduce recidivism, and discussed the use of inmates who are EMTs.  

During the #PASenate #PABudget hearing with @PARevenue and @PALottery, I questioned how state agencies are working to ensure companies are held accountable if they fail to meet job creation targets when applying for tax credits.  

At the #PASenate #PAbudget hearing with the @Ind_Fisc_Office, I discussed tax credits, and noted that my district needs a City Revitalization Improvement Zone.
