WHAT: Sen. Dan Laughlin (R-49) will hold a news conference today to discuss his legislation, Senate Bill 49, which would close regulatory gaps and align Pennsylvania’s hemp laws with new federal standards taking effect this November and create the Pennsylvania Cannabis Control Board.
The legislation would transfer oversight of the state’s Medical Marijuana Program to the newly established Cannabis Control Board, creating a dedicated body responsible for licensing, compliance, enforcement and consumer safety.
