Message to the 49th District from Senator Laughlin

“The United States is adapting to a temporary new normal amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.  As your State Senator, I want to assure my constituents that my staff and I are working around the clock to monitor the situation.

“In Pennsylvania, briefings from the Governor, PEMA and the local Health Department are keeping citizens informed as circumstances are constantly changing.  From the beginning the best advice remains – – stay calm, wash your hands, avoid unnecessary contact and temporarily stay away from large crowd gatherings.

“As of today, my district office at 1314 Griswold Plaza in Erie, will remain open, staffed, and as always, available to serve the needs of the people of the 49th district.

“At this time of uncertainty, however, I strongly encourage anyone who might feel the need for state assistance to call my office at (814) 453-2515 before coming in.  Many services can be handled by telephone or online, other services may be on hold for a time.  My office will be more than happy to advise our citizens about the best way to proceed.  The ultimate goal is to continue our business of legislative assistance while maintaining the highest level of safety for the public as well as our employees.

“By calmly working together we can adapt to this ever-changing situation with the safety and well-being of all our neighbors foremost on our minds.”
